Chocolate Chip Cookies Modified by Mum

Chocolate chip cookie recipe
8 TBSP salted butter, softened slightly but still cold
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cups chocolate chips

Cream cold butter and both sugars with the paddle attachment until fluffy and yellow.
Add egg and vanilla.
Paddle until combined, about 15 seconds. No longer than 30 seconds or the dough will be stiff.
Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until it looks like cookie dough. Add chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.
Roll dough into 10-12 cookies rounded towers. Ovals instead of dough balls, this will make the dough bake down into itself and make fluffy, doughy cookies. Place onto a baking sheet and bake at 350• for 9-11 mins. Take out when there are a few barely golden spots on top. Cookies will be very doughy.
Let them cool for 5-10 mins. They will continue to firm on the inside and be perfectly gooey and ready to eat after resting.
